As Herod's new building is being built, the construction crew gave us a pretty dull old wall to look at. They were very kind to coat it with a pale shade of blue, a perfect background to our painted garden! The ultimate goal is that every child paints something for our "garden" mural. 2nd Graders were the first to paint. After talking about flowers, looking at parts of a flower, various kinds of flowers, etc, they began. Here are the 2nd graders and their flowers. More to come!
Love this project! We may be doing some murals ourselves next year. What kind of paint did you use?
ReplyDeleteWe are using acrylic. I was going to buy latex wall paint but decided to go with good ol acrylic. I bought the student grade by Crayola. The wall is temporary...ya know? That paint is SO thick. I really had to water it down. I have done lots of murals with kids, but never this many. (700!) Good luck!
